Before and After your treatments

Before your treatment:

  • Please bring a list of medications and supplements you are currently taking.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing
  • Eat a light snack one or two hours before your treatment.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol before or after your treatment.
After your treatment:
  • You may feel tired after your treatment. It is best to have a rest and relax for a couple of hours.
  • Avoid any rigorous exercise for a few hours.
  • If you feel light headed, please tell your practitioner or sit in the waiting room; have a drink of water or herbal tea until you are able to go home.

TCM incorporates acupuncture, tui na massage, cupping, herbal, dietary, lifestyle advice and moxabustion therapies. These therapies have been used for thousands of years to promote and encourage the body’s natural healing process. Acupuncture has been proven to stimulate the nervous system, releasing neurochemical messenger molecules which influence the body’s homeostatic mechanisms. It can be used to rebalance the body’s hormones, reduce pain, anxiety and induce relaxation.

Each holistic treatment is taylor made for each individual's condition. Treatments vary according to your requirement and may include a combination of therapies.

It is a relaxing and enjoyable experience; patients often drift off to sleep or have a deep feeling of wellbeing.
